July and August carry the palace's longest opening hours, and in winter it closes earlier. The palace publishes no crowd data, so it does not confirm which weeks are busy or quiet.
Seasons change the gardens, not the rooms
The interior route is broadly the same in February as in July, though rooms can close for restoration. The grounds are not — the parterre is planted for summer, and the Gloriette walk in low winter light is a different and emptier experience.
Avoid arriving at midday
The palace publishes no crowd data, so there is no confirmed quiet slot. Last admission is 45 minutes before closing, so an end-of-day slot is possible but leaves little time.
